Rokkstar
12-02-2007, 03:32 PM
Yea that first intro lyric for Down With The Sickness would be awkward to sing lol.

That would be an instant buy. Land of Confusion would be a blast (though with it being a cover, I'm not sure that's possible to get).

Liberate, Ten Thousand Fists and Stupify would also be solid.

Rokkstar
12-04-2007, 04:11 PM
Yea they shoudl have two packs seperate

- Stricken
- Down With The Sickness
- Voices

and

- Liberate
- Ten Thousand Fists
- Stupify

I would pay $12 max on that.

ill buy it as long as its uncencored as all DLC should be (its "You're so f**king special" not "You're so very special"!). that means the whole segment of him fighting with his mom on "down with the sickness". it would be worth it just to see my girlfriend squirm when it comes up randomly.

JoshuaB81285
12-05-2007, 11:44 AM
I'd imagine they'd make the "OoooWAHAHAHAHA" part of the song as part of the "spoken" section instead of tone or whatever...like "Sabatoge" and much of "Epic".

But yeah, I'd be all for some Disturbed DLC, though I'd like to see"Stricken", "Down With The Sickness", and "Remember" as a 3 songs pack.

Just listened to "Overburdened"...and boy that would be awesome in Rock Band.

Rokkstar
12-07-2007, 11:49 PM
That's a wonderful song except for the intro. About 50 seconds into the song the whole thing really gets good.

It's falling behind. Bumping it.

PacoL250
12-08-2007, 03:38 PM
Disturbed would be crazy (in a good way) in RB :)

Although, we'd probably see the censored version. Have to keep it rated T for Teen now don't we? ;)

rokkstar i just want you to know you are the king of terrible poppy wannabe trash music. I didnt think id ever see one person themselves seriously request slipknot, disturbed, green day, and sum 41 and keep bumping them all. my hat is off to you and your absolute terrible taste. if those bands get on dlc, then more power to you, but i wouldnt waste my harddrive space if they were free.

Hmm, last I checked mockery of musical tastes was a "no-no." :p ;)

I can understand the whole "bumping them all" comment, but last I checked Disturbed and Slipknot sure weren't "poppy." I'd throw Green Day in there if it weren't for their latest album.

Then again, one could consider everything that is currently being listened to as "pop," so I guess arguing about what "pop" is, is fruitless.

Disturbed could be terribly fun and I love their music, but could we actually sing in that monsterous gutteral tone?
btw:
The Sickness
10,000 Fists
The Game (was that ever a single...)
*Voices (....f it wasn't, 'cause I'd imagine they would want only songs widly distrubuted)

Honerable mention Forsaken from Queen of the Damned soundtrack is Dramen but very singable for the whole experience.

That's a darn good question. Then again, the same could be said for some songs sung by Chris Cornell. Then again, Soundgarden's Black Hole Sun didn't have much (if any at all) craziness in the vocals, IIRC.

Try singing Kittie...

Unless you're forced to sing it, just play guitar/drums. If you think you're ready, SCREAM IT OUT! lol Anyway I used to be a lead vocalist/rhythm guitar for a band and that's what improved my vocals on the screaming level. Of course we weren't a devil worshipping kill anything you don't like band... Just we like to add some emotion (a bit off topic). But anyway I can do it. It's just practice will make you better, I've never seen a person on the Earth (unless handicaped) unable to scream. If you don't want to risk losing your voice a few days, don't SING the song. Just play GUITAR or DRUMS on it.

I have to sign on for Disturbed.

My personal choices would be:

Stupify

Prayer

Stricken

And, to answer the question of whether anyone can sing in Draiman's guttural style...

I used to regularly karaoke Stupify. Fun times, fun times. It was rather rough on the vocal chords, admittedly.

I think it's manageable; I used to sing in the "high-level" choir for school back until middle school and the more I sing now, the more I realize, hey my singing voice is still there within it's limits. :)

Sure I'll try the singing; heck I'm wondering how I'll manage Flyleaf when I play that on here as I've been doing both vocals and guitar in my own RB band. :p

I know, but eventually your chords develope enough to be able to bypass that kind of crap.

Back when in my REAL band, not the game, I wore my vocals out so bad on a song we called, "Fake It" and cut my fingers everyday just off of a solo on one of our songs, therefore I lost my screaming ability let alone singing for weeks and my hands were pitiful for like a week or two. I'll always remember that. In real life, here's a lesson, DONT WRITE LONG FAST SOLOS. But back on topic, this Disturbed content could be the thing that grabs more poeple who aren't happy with playing, "FALL OUT BOY" and get them to play the game. It'll help extend the RB Population as well.

Yeah, bashing is a no no. No need to be a jerk. I'd have stronger words, but some might have too many syllables.

They have a big following and are commercially viable at least with later albums.

I gotta get in this Disturbed wish-list party. Disturbed has such a killer "heavy" rhythm and it would be crazy fun to play their stuff.

Take you pick of these and I'll cough up the points....

The Game
Prayer
Stupify
Down with the Sickness
Shout (one of my favorite all-time covers)
Land of Confusion (broad appeal)

Rokkstar
12-10-2007, 12:43 PM
I have Prayer, Stupify, and Down With The Sickness in the list already lol.

As a big Disturbed fan, I saw your post title and thought "yeah, well, I bet you're overlooking something for the set list." Nope! You got it. Those are all the songs that I would love to be able to play in Rock Band. Of course, the entire "Believe" album would be good, too!

Any song from any album would be great. Even their bonus tracks, such as Hell and Monster are great. IMO, they are one of few artists which every track on their albums are good.

ok i agree with down with the sickness and stupefy...i also like stricken and land of confusion and voices but why...oh why...has no one even mentioned meaning of life? this is a DAMN good song that no one has bothered to think about.

Also the only way i see disturbed on RB is if its censored...would love to do the entire down with the sickness part but lets be real, there are too many kids who play this game and with parents already jumping at government throats about videogame violence and violence in musice...there is really no good reason to combine the two

But overall yes i would love a disturbed track

Disturbed is one of my top 3 favorite bands of all-time. So I, of course, would LOVE to see Disturbed on Rock Band. It would be a dream come true. I'm thinking a 3 pack of...

Down with the Sickness
Stricken
Stupify

I've been aching to play Disturbed and the track in GH3 was merely a tease. All of the instruments rock and David Dreiman's voice sounds like broken glass and fire. They need to be in Rock Band!

spidey867
12-26-2007, 05:05 AM
Yeah, I agree with the lot that says that most of Disturbed's catalogue would be fun to play, but the track packs that you have laid out would be immediate buys for me. I never really listened to much besides their video works and singles, but any band that makes me want to run out and get another foot pedal when they become available, I'm on it. :p

I say that yes disturbed should be in RB. The only problem is the whole scene in Down With the Sickness where he's yelling at his "mommy."... Yeah that would probably keep it out of RB.
