:confused:This is a really rediculous question, and I'm sure u've heard it a million times, but how does it work if i buy this game, as far as instruments, do i have to buy the guitar, bass, mic and drums seperately? or are they included? thanks in advance!

The bundle comes with a guitar, drums, drum sticks and mic as well as a usb hub if you get it for the 360.
It would help to read the details on any website....

They don't sell the instruments individually yet. The bundle only comes with 1 guitar controller. If you want another one to use for bass guitar, you'll have to get either a Guitar Hero guitar (the PS3 Les Paul that comes with GH3 doesn't work with Rock Band) or a third party guitar for your console.
You can, of course, get the game only, for $60. You can use one of your own guitar controllers, and can use the mic for online play to sing with, but you won't be able to play the drums.
You NEED the instrument peripherals to play that part of the game. You can't just play with your controller like in Guitar Hero...
The Bundle is the best way to go. If you were to wait and buy each item separately (when they become available) you'll be spending more than what the bundle costs.

The specific breakdown of the separate pieces according to the way they're priced on Amazon at present:
Game - $60
Drums - $80
Mic - $30
Wired Guitar (360) or Wireless Guitar (PS3) - $60
Hub (360 or 40GB PS3) - $25 (at Best Buy...Amazon doesn't list it)
Optional: Wireless Guitar for 360 - $80
So, if you were to buy what's in the $170 bundle separately, it would cost you:
$230 for the PS3
$255 for the 360
There are other cost combinations, of course, depending if you have a 40GB PS3 or want Wireless for your 360.

Are you 100% sure? im pretty sure my old pal at blockbuster said he and his friends used them after THREE guitars broke on them. and im talking guitar only as me and my friends have no intrest in singing songs and 1 having to relearn all the way back to expert on a guitar is ****ing stupid. that and the fact that i doubt those "new" guitars have btter response times then the POS i got with GH3...

Yeah, the peripherals send some kind of signal to the console letting it know what kind of instrument it is. Once it's plugged in, the console will automatically select that instrument for you. If you try to use a regular controller, it will automatically search for a mic and will set you as singer by default. (and consequently tell you to plug in a mic if one isn't found)
There may be a way around it, but I haven't heard of it yet. Lots of people have posted about not being able to play with just a controller.
At least, for the 360, it's this way...
But, hey, singing's actually pretty fun! I didn't think it would be all that great since I didn't like those Karaoke Revolution games, but these are ROCK songs!
