View Full Version : Guitar finally died, need help on sending to EA

After a mere 2 weeks and a half, the guitar doesn't register downstrums correctly, but upstrums work. It pisses me off. I've spent 170 for this game, and about 30 bucks for DLC, and the guitar doesnt work properly. So I'm hoping EA can replace this with a new one (that works btw!) for free.

Any considerate ones out there who can help with the sending-to-EA process and how it works?

My strum bar was broken out of the box... it doesn't register down strums.

That is the link to the warranty page. Requesting a new instrument brings you TWO options

Express: Requires a credit card or debit card as they ship a new instrument to you FIRST, and you use THE SAME BOX to send back your old one. This requires a 100 dollar hold to be processed on the card. NOTE: If you use a debit card THEY TAKE 100 dollars out and then refund you. Be very careful not to be overdrafted. The box they send you has the shipping lable and everything, no further cost to you.

Regular: They ship you an empty box no cost, no credit card required, then you send them the guitar. Once they receive it, they send you a new one, no cost to you but time.

They seem to have deleted that out of the sticky. Hmm. At least I can't find it.
