Hey, figured I'd let you all know about a site I run called mashedbuttons. It's a gaming blog/news site like many others, with a twist. The twist is that you can sign up for an account and post your own articles. If enough people vote for your articles using digg.com, it will be promoted to the front page with all of the other articles. We are a completely independent site. All of the funding for the page comes from my own wallet. What this means is that we are tied to no man or organization. We strive to be bias free in the sense that no article is deemed inappropriate because we don't agree with it.
After scenarios like the recent firing of that GameSpot reviewer, I think that sites like mine are even more important. We do not and will not take money from any game maker. We also do not and will not require money from our users for functionality on our site. Our only form of advertising is Google's AdSense which has brought us $6.33 since launch. We are not in it for the money, and we think it shows. So, please, feel free to head over, sign up, comment on articles, and write your own too! The link is in my signature.
