Playing RB at a friends with Xbox Live

Hey, If I play RB at a friends house and progress through the Band Tour.... Will progress I make there be available when I play at home if I travel my profile and save game on a memory card? or is this not supported?

I think you can just import your gamertag to another person's console through XBox Live (you don't need a Gold subscription for this). You don't have to save it onto a memory card...

I've seen the option on the sign-in screen, but I've never done it before.

I've heard that using the "recover gamertag" option can mess with DLC.
The safest means necessary is transfer your profile from 360 to memory unit. As long as that memory unit is plugged in to your friends 360, you have access to your gamertag.

I recover my gamer tag or just bring my memory unit to a friends house for live play.

Usually three to four players have a Live account on one system while we play.

I save my content on my Memory unit while, they save on a HDD, it saves my progress & theres, so I am able to play at home as well, with the saved content.

I understand how to play at a friends house... with a profile on a MU, but what I want to know is if your career progress (AKA Save Game) will travel with you so if your play at multiple places you don't need tostart a career over every time.... this was a problem with GH3 and playing coop at a friends house.

OK, here's the deal with doing a Gamertag Transfer:

Your achievements attained on the other console will transfer, but NOT your save files. I.E. I unlocked a couple GHIII Achievements on my friends console using the Recover Gamertag feature, but didn't keep my unlock progress.

The easiest way to preserve unlock is to use a memory card, which I mocked at the beginning, but after Rock Band, I'm beginning to see the point of them.

So, if I play at a friends place with *my* gamertag and saving using *my* MU, All save games will progress for my friend and myself when I am back at my house?
