Looking at the RB Gamer Pics there seems to be a red (red instrument on black background), negative (black backrgound with white instrument) and white/normal (black instrument on black bacground) pic for each instrument in the band.
Are these being used to signal roles to other players? For example, you could look at the gamer pic of someone you recently met to know where to find that singer, bass player, drummer or guitar to finish out your online band.
Ex: Expert - Red with black bacground
Hard - White with black background
Medium - Black with white background
... or something like that.
Just a thought.
