Serj mentioned back in a interview that they are still chatting with each other here and there and they never officially broke up.

I don't have a link since this was a while ago but they just wanted to do there own things for a while and honestly I love it.

Yeah they should come back, but i think they won't :(
But I'm saw Daron & John last september in Hamburg with their new band Scars on Broadway :'D
But now they exist anymore too ><
