We started a band on my 360. My buddy has started playing on his 360 and wants to bring his guitar player/other band members with him when we play at my house and vice versa. He can save his guy onto his mem card and it shows up on the card. When we try to load it on my 360 it says that there is no valid RB file on the card.
Also, could his band member play on his profile and my band member play on mine?
thanks

I think you need the entire rock band file copied to the Memory card. Wouldn't hurt to try.

All members you create are specific to the profile signed in. If your band leader is the only one signed in and then you create 4 band members, they are specific to the band leader's Gamertag. If my friend then decides to login to his Gamertag, he can't access his character created under my Gamertag. Thus, he must recreate his character.

got it. So he needs to be signed into my 360 to bring his guy over. I thought I read in the manual that it would be fair easier to bring and play with individual band members. This is turning out to be more difficult than it should be.

if your friend wasn't signed in when he created his character, then the game has no way of associating that character to his profile. it will be associated to the profile that it was created under.

This profile/band member issue is a real fiasco.
I spent about 20 minutes to figure out that I could log on with my gamertag and have access to my band members created under my original offline profile and that player 2 needed to sign on under my gamertag to access the characters made under that profile.
If another player has a separate gamertag with their own characters, and they save said characters to a mem card, can they log into their Gamertag on your console and then load their premade band members?

Bullseye,
That was the question I was ultimately asking.
