View Full Version : What holiday music could work?

How about the Trans-Siberian Orchestra's "The Lost Christmas Eve (http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewAlbum?id=26243329&s=143441)"? I guess they want to avoid all that instrumental stuff... though I think instrumentals as DLC would be okay, as long as people knew there were no vocals before paying for the download.

What other holiday music could work?

I'd love to see a Christmas Pack of DLC. Some songs that would work:

Christmas Wrap or whatever it's called by The Waitresses
Little Drummer Boy by Joan Jett
Just about any song from the Blue Yule album/CD

Über-kudos for turning me on to this album! :D :) :D

I picked it up at WorstBuy last night and it was worth every penny of the $5 too much I paid for it ($15). This is the Christmas album I've been searching for for 15 years. But it looks like it came out last year, so I only really missed out for one year. :)

I would like to suggest that everyone on this forum go out and *BUY* a copy of this CD this xmas season. Don't rip a copy from a friend or download a copy from the net, but actually go out and buy a copy to try and put a nice little spike in sales for a hard rockin' metal Christmas album so that the lame record studios will notice the dollar signs and publish some more hard rockin' xmas albums by some other artists next year. Just do it!

And yes this would've been the A-#1 "first complete album DLC" if it were ready to go this week or next, because it is Christmasey and it is rockin'. I find myself listening to the drum lines and wishing I could play them in game.

Found another one: Dread Zeppelin's Presents (http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewAlbum?id=193680780&s=143441)

Edit: holy crap! I didn't realize Skynyrd (http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewAlbum?id=7270998&s=143441) had one too!

Yes, Reliant K & Ted Nugent has a Christmas riff out there somewhere...

Any Relient K christmas music would work. If they are going to put a pack together I would like it to be as close to the original as possible, well of course it would rock though. Hopefully they will have good will towards men and give it away free, since it will only be used for like 1 month out of the year.:D

Also, to get around the keyboard they could just make it into a bass part and redo the songs in a bass fashion.

Dreidel, Dreidel, Dreidel. The only holiday song ever worth singing.

I'm sure someone at HMX remember The Showcase Showdown's holiday classic "Merry Christmas I F**ked Your Snow Man".

XM Radio has a station called Special Xmas during the holidays that is all off beat Christmas songs, been listening to a lot of that lately, but I can't say I'd honestly pay for Christmas DLC.

I would love to see a christmas (or holiday-themed) song pack released. I would definitely put some money down for a TSO song or something like that.
