I have a question for all.
So I see a lot of problems peoplea are having with their launch guitars and drums.
Well here's my quandry, I've had absoluetly no issues with any of my equipment, everything is still working just fine, and I play a good 2 hours or so at least every other day, with others on all the instruments.
So my question is, the issue related to the guitar controllers, was it only specific to a group of gutiars manufactured on a particular date? If it was a faulty design all the way around, then I'm sending mine in for replacement regardless of whether it works or not. Same with items such as the drum bass pedal. I don't want two weeks from now my equipment to go bust if it's already been determined that every launch guitar suffers from the same design flaw. If thats the case, I'll go ahead and get it replaced now, before my Who album comes out for dl.
Thanks in advance for the help!

If you don't mind opening up the base and taking a quick picture (if you don't touch anything, your warranty is fine), we can let you know if you want a new revision of the hardware or not.

My advice is always - if it ain't broke, don't fix it (and don't make EA air-ship you a new one).
There's a 60 day warrantee on the guitar. Play it for those 60 days and if it doesn't break, it probably won't. Sending in a guitar that is not broken is taking advantage of EA's and Harmonix's generous return policy and costs them money. In the end, that cost will inevitably be passed on to the comsumer, i.e. you and me.
Their return policy is not for guitars that might maybe possibly someday break. It's for guitars that are broken now. And honestly, I hope they charge restocking fees and shipping fees to people returning perfectly good guitars, because it's not right.

I'm in the same boat ... i am having no problems with any of the controllers. But now am nervous because I really only play RB once a week or so when friends come over... and if the warranty is only good for 60 days, mine may break later since I don't play it as much as some of these hard core guys. And it sounds as if they really made a better product on the updated guitar.
hopefully they extend the warranty to us excited customers who bought the first version.

This seems to have been the case. If your stuff is working, then super, no need to send it in.
