I think star power works differently this time around. I forget exactly how it works, I read about it a while ago, but I think completing certain sections gives you bonuses and things like that.

I am interested to see how this all works as well. They better have something similar because there are a lot of solos in GH2 that I would not have gotten through without it :D

I have the 171 issue, which is the july of 2007 issue, of GameInformer, and for the microphone it says that if you "build up enough highly judged phrases, you'll get a free-form passage to rock out (to sing what ever you want). If your meter's high enough, singing in these free zones will trigger star power..."

for the drums "frequently the gems will disappear to be replaced by a free-form section (drumfill). at the end of each drum fill, a special green gem descends on your right. Hit that for the final crash of your fill, and you've just deployed your own version of star power."

Too bad the drums star power couldn't of been that there's a sensor in the stick and when you twrill it around your fingers it activates it.

Hell, I'm almost half tempted to buy a pair of drum sticks to practice that just to show off.
