I want to know how many hours my band is going to have to devote to the endless setlist before we do it.

I've heard 6-7 hours, though add in breaks, you could need near 10 hours.

It took me five and a half hours, with 4 people, failing 2 songs. We also had to stop due to my bass pedal breaking, so subtract about 45 minutes from the total.

Seriously takes that long? Wow. Do you have to do it all in one sitting or can you come back to it?

I'm curious too....geez.

You cannot save it, you need to do it one sitting, all you can do is pause it and come back to it.
It matters how many songs you fail and how many breaks you take, but it should take 5 to 7 hours.

Five hours & fourteen minutes, that is with a 10 minute break in between.

That sounds about right. Our first one took about six hours, factoring in some breaks and such. When we streamlined it and just charged straight through, it took about 5.5. Whee.

What determines that an Endless setlist...finally ends?

Are 'all' songs in the setlist? Bonus songs? DLC?

Okay...perhaps I should do some research before I ask that question. Yes, you have to plow through ALL the songs. Here's a funny video of the staff from XBOX magazine during their journey of the endlist setlist:

They get through up to the very last song AND THEN somebody presses the wrong button!

wow so if youre determined to actually complete the endless set list you should do it now...cuz say in a year and you download all the DLC it could possibly be 3 or 4 times longer.

DLC doesn't get included in the ESL. Though, honestly, I wish they'd add in the "Infinitely Endless Setlist" that would include the DLC as well. For the extra extra challenge.

I think my fricken limbs would fall off...especially after playing all the Metallica Lars Ulrich insanity.

4 people all on expert took from about 3-12, so about 9 hours of awesomeness. (Dinner is included in that time though.)

When/where do you get to play the Endless set list? Is it a star requirement, a difficulty requirement, and/or a fan requirement?

same here, no one failed out, though, and the bass pedal stayed together, we did break for food, drinks, and the like

Its a gig that's available in Moscow. You just need to beat the hall of fame induction and then get a bunch more stars to unlock it so you could unlock it by just playing on medium in BWT

Also, if your system is in a good spot and doesn't overheat, there's always the option of playing about a few hours at night, leave it on overnight, and come back to it in the morning. it might be a little easier to play a 4-hour and then a 3-hour session the next day instead of 7 hours all together (pretty brutal).

I just did the Hall of Fame when I hit around 450 stars or so. Then it says to get the Endless Setlist to get more stars. I believe someone mentioned 600 stars. And it can be played on any difficulty except Easy.
As for the xbox 360 achievement, there's "Complete Endless Setlist" on Med, Hard, and Expert, but it goes by the lowest difficulty used. If 3 people are on hard, and just 1 on medium, you'll only get the Medium Achievement.
