for some reason, the option to enable sd card mode no longer appears when the game is loading. i can no longer play the downloaded songs that are saved on the sd card. does anyone know if there's a way to "re-enable" this mode so i can play my songs that are on the sd card without dl'ing them to the wii's internal memory? i called electronic arts, they directed me to nintendo. i called nintendo and they said they're going to research the problem.

Try plugging the card into another device that can read them, see if the card is ok. You may have to format it if it's somehow been corrupted. You'll be able to download your songs again, without having to pay, all it'll cost you is time :)
If you have another card around, see if that one works.

dude, Keneke . . . you were right! it was the card. other devices would read the card but when i inserted another sd card into the wii, it enabled the sd card mode. so i am now formatting the old sd card. thanks alot man!
