I have had many problems trying to figure out how to chat with friends over Live. Initially, I plugged my 360 headset into the adapter and into the guitar, was signed on and had my wife signed on as a friend with the controller and mic. (we don't have a GT for her). No matter what I did, no chat. Nothing through the controller because she was signed on as a friend, nothing through the guitar. Couldn't even send a voice message through Live.
Unplugged the mic and controller, had to re-start the game because it kept asking to re-connect the controller, plugged the headset into the guitar via the adapter and nothing but static as I wiggle the plug. So, I try my Trittons. Plugged into the guitar without the adapter, and viola! BUT the music coming through is horribly overmodulated, no matter how low I turn the volume on the headset cord down. Is there a volume function anywhere?
