I need Help...

I've been playing Rock Band 2 for almost 3 months and I've been really happy with my purchase. But lately, there's this problem with my guitar where I'm playing fine and all of a sudden, the guitar starts blinking and so does the dongle, as if it loses sync or something. I would like to know if it's something that's interfering with it or if my guitar is just dead.

Any help would be appreciated.

First thing I'd do is make sure the batteries in my guitar are fresh.
