OK some background info:
Guitar RMA'd 11/21 thru express, Drums RMA'd on 11/26 thru express.

***Now my story***

~~DING-DONG~~ goes my doorbell...
I eagerly run to my front door like a kid on Christmas morning runing to unwrap gifts. I say to myself, "I finally got my drumkit!!!" (which by the way I was able to track and was expecting it today). At my front door are two boxes looking up at me...

I thought to myself "Hmm... 2 thin boxes... Thats odd... Wait..my guitar RMA!!!!! SWEET they're both coming today!!! And this second box..could it be???? Did I get a free @#$!@#$ guitar?!?!?!? JACKPOT BABY!!!!! Matching bass and lead!!!!!"

I run to the kitchen and grab a knife to open the packages!! Sure enough! 2 M-fn guitars!!!! OH HELL YEAH!!! Then I pause... my glee turns to gloom, a very sad, dark, lonely place... I'm too distraught to continue...

Here is a picture... they say they're worth 1000 words... you see for yourself...

PS3 FTW!!

I'm just kidding. That sucks, dude. Maybe you'll get a free game from EA to make up for the mix-up.

That sucks man! I feel for you. I ordered the PS3 version of RB and received the XBOX 360 version at my doorstep... wasn't as bad for me though as it wasn't to be opened and used until Christmas day anyway... so I'm not missing out on anything... assuming I get the correct version by Christmas!

I'll take one off your hands if you like - I'm needing a bass...

Sorry to hear about that - can't believe they double shipped the WRONG guitar...

Sorry to hear it man... but I have to admit that the controller makes that picture soooooo funny.

Sucks for you, but there are PS3 owners who would kill for those. Me for example. What are you going to do with them? I'd totally buy one off you.

I got the "you get a free EA game email" because of the original guitar RMA. So I'm definitely holding them accountable for that. When I called customer service he fixed the drumkit RMA and is gonna send me $20 for EA store. I guess I'll take it.

Now...what to do w/ this 2nd PS3 controller..muahahahahahaah

BTW..if u orderd early ie before Thanksgiving and info still says billing rec'd. I STRONGLY suggest you call and check on it. They guy said "Well its a good thing you brought up your guitar RMA, somehow the status got changed..." I didnt care to go into it further detail with him but it sounded like I wasnt even going to get a guitar...

I got two PS3 guitars delivered to me today as well. Since I had ordred a PS3 replacement, this works out. But my assumption is that if I don't return two guitars in those boxes before the 30 days is up I'm going to be billed for them. I'd think you'd be in the same boat here.

My plan is to return the original broken one tomorrow. Then I'll play with the others for a week or two and return the worst one shortly before the 30 days expires.

Do you know if they held double the money on your card? Anyone else get two guitars?

HoboJoe
12-03-2007, 06:15 AM
no double holding money and the same RMA # is on both packing forms...it appears just a goof by 2 different warehouse ppl or something...

then again my packing slip contents said 360 Drum Kit...

i'll hang on to 1 as well and see what happens...

I got 2 guitars today as well and am rather puzzled. I would say oh sweet, if they didn't have my CC info. You never can tell with these things...All I know is I would love to have an extra guitar for Bass

I'll buy them from you! :P

But you could be selling them 130$ each on Ebay. I've been tracking some, but they always end way too high for what I'm ready to pay. :(

I know, same here. I can't justify spending $100-$130 on something that'll be $60 in a couple months.....

Especially when the full bundle is 170$... It would be more profitable to buy another bundle and sell the drums and game. But I'll wait for either a patch for the LP or for February to get one cheap.

I think I'm going to hang on to the 2nd controller for now...send 1 back, wait my 28 days, if no charges, then someone might get a 2nd controller a month early...

Then again, if someone can come up w/ a set of the main robot cast of Transformers action figures for my son, (Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Megatron... u know the main ones...) available for Christmas delivery then we might have some discussions.

Gawd those things are hard 2 find around here...

Nate Finch

I can get those action figures off Amazon, but they're damn expensive. Optimus Prime is $88 on his own:

I'm an Amazon Prime member, so I get free 2nd day shipping.... :)

Where are you located? I bet you could get them delivered by super saver shipping and still get them by Christmas (if you're in the US, at least).

I am interested in the guitar, but I don't want you to get screwed if EA suddenly decides they want their spare guitar back, either.

Wait......how does EA know what system you want it for?

HoboJoe
12-03-2007, 08:26 AM
you must choose a system using the online RMA... and if the warehouse peeps looked at the packing slip..it will tell them too...

the real kicker:my RMA was for a drumkit.... someones so gettin fired...sux but I have a feeling this is a boo-boo way too big for just a slap on the hand warning. Kinda feel sorry for that dude or dudes... close to the holidays and all...

EA- at least give them a decent severence package.

Sorry- I'm using wrong terminology... if u went thru website, it'll make u choose which system. The "RMA" is like a reference # for your claim.
