1 Xbox, 2 Live Profiles, can't share band members!

Sorry if this has already been posted and answered.

I would assume this is a bug.

I have an Xbox360 running Rock Band 2. The Xbox has 2 profiles (mine and my girlfriends).

Now we want to be able to play Rock Band so that:
1. As a band we use my profile and we have our own band members.
2. Each of us can use our OWN profiles (for acheivements, etc) and have those same band members showing up.

E.G In my profile I have 2 bands: "The Story Ends Here" (our multiplayer band gf and I play in together), and "Shut the Duck Up" (my single player tour band).

Both those bands also have fill in members so we have the same band all the time.

In my profile this works fine.

However when I log into my girlfriends profile (even if online on Xbox Live, and I have her signed in, and me added in Rockband2 as a player), I am unable to use any of the band members from my profile in hers (meaning I need to recreate her and the other 3 "dummy" band members again).

Hopefully this all makes sense and I am sure I'm doing something wrong. Else it would seem like a rather large oversight.

the band members are on your gamertag not hers. if you arent signed in (on your gamertag with a second controller) the game wont load

Thanks for that. But if I sign into her profile, then load Rock Band2, she has no band members coming up.

If I then sign myself in under a second controller, only if I elect to use one of my bands can we use those members.

If I try to create a new band under her gamertag in RB2, I am forced to recreate all the band members again.

It's as if the band members are locked to a profile, and can't be used across profiles.

Is this right? I would have thought that when 2 people are signed in to RB, that any persons band members can be picked?

That's absolutely right. Bands and characters are both tied to individual gamertag profiles and cannot be shared.

You can't play as characters created under a different profile but you can use each other's characters as stand-ins as long as you're both logged in.

So if your girlfriend only ever plays as one specific character then you could just recreate that one character under her profile. As long as you don't mind dealing with having to log in both profiles all the time anyway.
