Seems like this happened to a bunch of people. Stay calm, I know it sucks, but it's just a mistake. It's not really EA's fault, just some schmoe in the warehouse, probably his first day and doesn't know anything.

On the other hand, you could turn around an ebay those things for $130 apiece, buy a whole new bundle, and still have $100 in spending money left over.

You're last thread on the same subject was moved, so you thought it'd be smart to post it again?

No, it's about a tech support issue.

Also, be sure that you inform the EA person when you call that you are recording the conversation to be played on an internet radio show. If you don't inform the other party when you are recording, you could find yourself with a felony. :(

How does that work when the radio DJs do their various gags?

...yeah, great idea.

Because the person you're going to call and ***** at is totally responsible for sending you two of the wrong kind of guitar.

Federal law allows recording of phone calls and other electronic communications with the consent of at least one party to the call. A majority of the states and territories have adopted wiretapping statutes based on the federal law, although most also have extended the law to cover in-person conversations. Thirty-eight states and the District of Columbia permit individuals to record conversations to which they are a party without informing the other parties that they are doing so. These laws are referred to as "one-party consent" statutes, and as long as you are a party to the conversation, it is legal for you to record it. (Nevada also has a one-party consent statute.)

That is my understanding of call recording; now, wire-tapping is a completely different deal, which is where it really is illegal, because you are tapping into something, and not a party member of the conversation. That my friend is a felony.

But, I'll respect it being that you have publicly (as a moderator) warned me about it being a felony and not let anyone hear the actual call, on how to properly treat customer service and how to help the situation, to show others that they can lift their heads and actually get something done about a game they paid a lot of money for and still are having issues.

BTW;;; the UPDATE is in this thread now...

UPDATE2: Can't do it ladies... moderator gave me a heads up and im just protecting myself.

I have a BA in political science. Purchasing a video game, having problems with it, and wanting to talk about it with others doesn't restrict your (positive) first amendment right to free speech.

As long as you preface any statements you make with the phrases "In my opinion..." or "I believe..." Harmonix, MTV, and/or EA can't do ANYTHING about it.

Depending on the state, it can either be legal or illegal to tape a conversation with another person WITHOUT their permission. In my state (Kansas), it is LEGAL for me to record anyone I talk to without their permission.
