I like both, Metallica is better musically, but their greed by pulling out of their agreement with Rockband to go to GH, really pisses me off.

i wish people who make these "Megadeth vs Metallica" threads could be banned for doing so

There have been a crap-load of these threads but I just can't let this comment go. Metallica is better musically??? Metallica has more mass appeal but if you've ever seen these bands play live you would not say they were better musically.

By "better musically", I don't think he means speed, techicality, or even live proficiency. He just likes Metallica's overall sound better.

They're a lot poppier.

I lol'd.

Also, maybe we should ask Dave the question; http://www.askdavemustaine.com/

Megadeth started doing a lot more poppy songs around the same time, as well.

I'm betting at least half of the questions are "wut do u think of Metallica?!?!?!".

Oh, that's a different site than what I was thinking. I thought it was one of those sites where you send a question to the real Dave Mustaine, and he chooses who to respond to.

At least Megadeth doesn't have to apologize for a song like "Nothing Else Matters."

QFT. No apologies for their 90's material either. It's a tough choice, because I was never really into megadeth, and metallica's first few records are so amazing, but oh how the mighty have fallen.

Love them both, my two favorite bands of all time. Although I have yet to run across any Metallica that I dont like, there are a few Megadeth I could do without.

both kinda suck now, but i like both band's older stuff. i voted megadeth because i do prefer Peace Sells or Rust in Peace over ...And Justice for All and Ride the Lightning (favorite albums from both bands)

I like Megadeth a lot more than Metallica; If it weren't for Kirk's terrible guitar solos,Metallica would probably sound a lot better.f me for ever think a kirk solo was cool.

Metallica for sure. Megadeth hasn't really impressed me in a long time and Peace Sells... isn't the album I once thought it was after listening to it recently.

I actually liked the new Megadeth album. It was Megadeth. Death Magnetic was awful, and it sounded like Metallica was trying to be like Slayer in some areas. CURSE YOU RICK RUBIN!

Widely regarded as the "Founding Father" of Thrash Metal, Dave Mustaine almost single handedly created the enduring multi-platinum style that launched both Megadeth and Metallica Into the public's conciseness. From 1985's "Killing is My Business... And Business is Good" to the most recent "United Abominations". Through over 11 album releases with Megadeth, Dave's left a legacy of music that's been described as everything from "poignant" to "insightful", "angry" to "ironic". All delivered with Dave's cutting edge signature guitar sound. As we draw closer to the end of the first 10 years of the "2000's" we find Dave and Megadeth just as viable as ever, with a new album in the works and Gigantour on the horizon, Dave is still a force to be reckoned with. A true Icon of Heavy Metal.

there.....elaborated!!!!!!

Could you now get something that wasn't copied, pasted and almost completely factually inaccurate?
