As is the case with many people here, I couldn't be happier with my copy of Rock Band 2. My wife, my friends, and I play it together all the time. Or we did... until the cordless drums and guitar began to sap our money well dry on batteries and our cat and dog decided to chew through the cords for the microphone and old wired guitar!
Needless to say, it's time to seek some replacement peripherals! I've heard rumors to the effect that the USB instruments are interchangeable between systems, such as a Nintendo Wii microphone working on an Xbox 360, and vice-versa. Is this true? if so, it would definitely make searching for replacements much easier. For the record, we own Rock Band 2 on the 360. I suppose we could purchase it for our Wii as well, but I'd much rather just buy a few new instruments rather than a whole new game!
Also, I've recently seen something about a rechargeable battery for the Nintendo Wii Rock Band guitar. Is this also interchangeable among all guitars or only for the Wii? If not, I suppose we should just search out some rechargeable AA's some time soon.
