Ok so far Rock Band, the game, is awesome, but whoever is making the instruments needs to be hanged. Within a week my guitar has ceased to down strum and my foot pedal has broken in three places. THREE PLACES! Every time I try to bring it back to life, it breaks again. There’s an almost equal split of original foot pedal and mods now. Have a look:

Yes, That is a sandal attached to the top of my pedal. Those are metal braces holding the two major upper segments together. This, my friends, is the definition of ghetto rigging.

So after much consideration I send off for another foot pedal and a new guitar. Well today my first of two packages arrives! Yay! I get to play the game now! I open the box and to my dismay they have sent me a new drum kit... WITHOUT THE FOOT PEDAL!!! What's worse is this drum kit is obviously someone else's returned drum kit!!! The box inside the box was fold-closed, the kit is broken and it has signs of wear all over!

WTF IS THE PROBLEM HERE?! The peripherals developer should have done their damn jobs and made sturdy instruments. Did they think we are only going to strum 20 times a song or something? Did they think we would not rest our feet on the kick pedals!? Seriously these things must not have been stress tested or even used for that matter for them to not notice these obvious flaws in design!

Well in the interim I decided I might as well try to solve my foot pedal debacle, so after heavy searching for solutions I found this post: Click Here (http://community.rockband.com/vbforum/showthread.php?t=11121)

So I decided to get a Roland FD-6. A quick search on eBay and I have one for $50. This thing is a dream to use! It's responsive, sturdy and has a GREAT feel to it. Here, take a look:

If only the peripherals developer had decided to use metal instead of plastic. Or maybe solid plastic instead of structure plastic. Or maybe polyetherimide instead of this crappy polyvinyl chloride. Seriously, they could have chosen just about any other design decision then what they have here and come out better!

Ok, I think I'm done ranting... I'll try to keep things here updated with my progress. I'm sure there are other people out there that would like to know what kind of a ride they are in for with EA customer support.

/cry Harmonix. Look what has become of you...

They designed it the way they did to make it as cheap as it was. They had no idea how it would bite them in the end, though...

It's aisle, not isle.

No, no its isle. As is island. It's nearly a continent by now. =P

Yeah I would have payed $250 for a fully working awesome version. Harmonix is normally great, but these instruments are awful.
