Different Difficulty Speed Adjustment

Hi,

I'm not sure if this issue has been addressed, but I noticed that when I'm playing guitar and my friend is playing bass locally, the game adjust the speed so that we are both playing at the same speed. This is on Rock Band 2 on Wii. I'm using a stratocaster and my friend is using the guitar hero world tour guitar. I'm not sure if that is what is causing it. I'm playing on Expert and my friend is playing on Medium. I'm wondering if anyone knows how to make it so that the speed isn't the same.

the only "fix" is to go into extras -> cheats -> activate breakneck speed. its not a cheat as it allows you to save and use the online features.

keep in mind that his will speed up past medium scrolling speed and yours will be hard/expert range
