This makes me excited for the winter yet nervous at the same time. It looks pretty cool though!

Does it have rock band?

I don't think so. Rock Band wasn't released for PC.

Interesting, although not a single RPG game was featured, which is discouraging.

Lag, DC, internet connection require... blah blah blah.
Getting a PC will still work better

I'm all for killing bloody stupid console exclusivity, if this service offers a lot of games I want I might just have to get it. Although if it depends on my comps specs to run some of that stuff I'm SOL >.>

The worst lag is one millisecond. The OnLive Microconsole works on TVs and PCs with as little as a 1mb internet connection. You obviously didn't watch the conference.
You do not need a tricked-out PC to make it work! For the last time. It all runs through a gigantic server farm that streams the frames to your monitor.

I don't think so. Rock Band wasn't released for PC. I'd call it a fail then, no plastic based rock not a good console.

If the system allows me to play Grim Fandango on Mac, then I'm sold. If not, we'll see how it works out...

And you still need an internet connection... and the smallest lag is with what? Their insane connection they have to prove a point?
Even with dialup the connection to internet is greater than 1ms... what kind of hallucinatory world do you live in where you have a better connection to a privately owned server opposed to the internet?

if i can play Day of the Tentacle on there i will consider buying it. I'll wait a few months after it's released to see what the general opinion of it is.

Video Games on Demand? pass.
sounds like a way to fleece people out of more of their money.
Any game, instantly
No big download or installs.
that worries me .
Just an awful idea for controlling video game content and making people pay more for "premium" stuff and all the rest of that jazz.

I'm still a little wary about this. Will have to stay tuned.

Onlive sounds pretty ambitious, if they can pull it off (which I highly doubt) then I'll definitely check it out.....maybe

This may have potential as a feature in future game consoles, but I don't expect it to replace them.

I said LAG was 1ms, not connection. A MINIMAL CONNECTION of 1mb is needed.

And you do not realize that lag can ALSO be on your part as well, not them? Even US Military lag is greater than 1ms

Anyone heard anything about how they're going to be controlling the usage rights?
How are they going to prevent users from sharing login info to play each other's games? How do they block that without resorting to something so strict that it also stops the rightful owner from playing their games somewhere else? The console is so small that surely some people would want to bring it with them to a friend's house or hotel room or something to play, no?

I like a lot of the ideas although I'm skeptical of the claim of no lag.

I like the idea, and it definitely has a lot of potential if they pull it off right.
But there's no way in hell that thing is gonna replace consoles.
