With RB2 finally released in the UK, I took the opportunity to pick up a cheap copy of RB1. I am going to buy the 'key' and export the tracks from RB1...
Do I have to do anything on RB2 to play them? Where do the tracks appear? Which modes can you play them in?
I assume you don't have to unlock them and they will just appear as DLC, but wonder if someone could confirm.

Assuming you are referring to the Xbox 360 version of Rock Band, in order to export the songs for RB2 to use, you need to start the process with Rock Band 1 disc. If I remember correctly, you will find "export" under "options". It will cost 400 MS points to get the license and there are 3 songs that will not be exported due to "license agreement with the bands".
Hope this helps.

In the EU version, there's actually 4 songs that don't export. Run to the Hills, Paranoid, Enter Sandman, and Monsoon.
And to the OP: You don't have to do anything in RB2, they'll show up automatically in Quickplay, random setlists, etc. just like any of your other DLC.
