View Full Version : Band name unavailable after Wii repair

I recently had to send my Wii back to Nintendo for repair. After getting it back and having to start from scratch on Rock Band 2, I'm unable to use my original band name (Chimps with Hammers). Is there a way to relink my console with this band online? Because of the repair, I lost all of my save data.

There is not, you'll have to create a new band with a new name.

Bummer. So Chimps With Hammers is forever unavailable online to everyone? Do the names ever expire after a certain period of time?

no. they are in the system forever

Why did they erase your save data? They didn't lose data repairing mine.

I have no idea why my save data was lost. According to the invoice, the disc drive and main circuit board was replaced.

That would be why. The 512 MB of flash memory in the Wii which would have contained your save data is on the motherboard.
