Search did not bring me the answers so sorry if this is over asked.
GH:WT has a very similar fret button arrangements with the no strum buttons at the base of the neck. Only trouble is that with my GH:WT guitar these don't seem to work. I guessing this is because it was not designed for RB2 and is a compatibility problem I need to deal with using GH:WT parts with RB2. Or should these work and how.
Thank you RB2 creators for not making us with the full GH:WT interments not have to buy another full set.

The GHWT uses a touch pad programming that has nothing to do with the way that HMX programmed RB2. Deal with it.

I thought that it was going to be something like that. But Hoped I was wrong. I will need to possibly add one more guitar to my collection. Too bad though HMX had it so close with programing thier game to work with GH:WT stuff.

At least the GH guitar works. I never used the extra frets anywho. It would be nice if the touch pad still worked as a strum bar though...

Is there a good place to look at compatable DLC stuff with the GH:WT instruments. I have read that as we know RB2 works as well as Track Pack 2. Along with that I read Track Pack 1 WILL NOT work with GH:WT and others. How about all the DLC I can buy on the Wii. Is it hit and miss or have other found these to work?

Instrument Compatability Chart (http://www.joystiq.com/Instrument-Compatibility-Matrix/) this chart has compatability for RB1/2
and what are you referring to dlc stuff? the slide pad does not work

The slide pad for GH guitar will not work in RB2 or any RB. Period.
GH guitars are compatable with RB2 and AC/DC on Wii.

I’m pass the slider question and now focused on the music. So I can assume if I down load a track in RB2 it will work with my GHWT stuff. I was just nervous because of the topics I read of RB1 and Track Pack 1 not working with Wii GHWT. If I where a regular RB player (forget about the GHWT part) could I have bought just Track Pack 1 for the Wii and play without owning RB1 first. If so then what I understand is that RB1 and Track Pack 1 use the original game engine (Not compatible with GHWT). Track Pack 2 and RB2 uses the new game engine (Is compatible with GHWT) Witch then allows all RB2 DLC to also to be GHWT compatible. This Confusion of mine also stems off another fact I read that all RB1 DLC will be available for RB2. They must have recompiled the old RB1 DLC to work in RB2.
All that to answer this: Is all RB2 DLC equally compatible with GHWT interments as RB2?

first thing THERE IS NO RB2 DLC COMPATABILITY and there is no RB1 dlc
yes they work with the dlc because you are playing RB2.

Thank you I just pick RB2 up today but didn't want to drop 200 points on songs that would not work. And I forgot that I did read Wii RB1 did not have DLC. That was new in the RB2 release.

Even if there was theoretically DLC from 1, it would still work with the GH guitars in 2. It's the game engine, not the songs, that determine instrument compatability.
