Hey there, I'm trying to eliminate the sensor on my RB1 guitar because it's not reliable and wouldn't do any good as opposed to the select button... Any tips?

Random PS: I just tried to unscrew the screws but man they are TIGHT, I'll try tomorrow... Thx :)

edit: ...Shizz I just realized I posted in the wrong forums...sorry, but I meant it for the Rock Band threads :( ...

Don't know if this is common knowledge, but messing around with my Rockband 2 guitar, I found a headphone jack on it. I plugged my kick pedal to it (Rockband 2 drums only) and I activate OD with my foot. Helps a bunch with consistency. I'm terrible at the guitar, and this helps me out a bunch with keeping a streak.

HTH.

Yeah but isn't there like a second or 2 of delay before it actually goes off (OD)? Pressing select activates right when you press it...Besides, I don't own the RB2 guitars.

What I press it down and release, it's instantly activated. I just checked my Rockband 1 guitars and they don't have that jack. I don't know if you want to cough up the 69 USD that a rockband 2 guitar goes for. I just bought one like two weeks ago. I have 3 busted guitars in my living room (Two rock band 1 guitars, and 1 rockband 2 guitar). It would have been cool, if they had the same strumming mechanism that the guitar hero hardware has. But I love the solo buttons closer to the body. I'm used to playing on those.

Well what I did was open my RB1 guitar and unplugged the sensor. Now I just use the select button.
