It's based off of Eminem's life. That's why he is starring in the movie :eek: (at least I'm pretty sure...)

Umm...idk. I had always just assumed it was based on the life of Eminem. Being that Eminem is from the same town and area irl. :confused:

Never saw it. My dad kept telling me it was good and that I SHOULD watch it...but then he realized he sold it. He did the same thing with Fight Club

It's loosely the story of Eminem's life, although with obvious artistic license. It's not intended as a biopic, though, hence the name changes. It was intended to stand on its own merits.

...not quite sure it succeeded in that charge, but it's a fairly good film.
