E3 2007 Steve Van Zandt Press Conference

Rocker Steve Van Zandt takes us through the song list and tells us what Rock Band means to him.

The video can be found here (http://gametrailers.com/player/21775.html) at GameTrailer.com. There is also a hi res version on there too. I'm just glad i got this before i get capped (which will be in about 10 minutes)

I'm downloading this right now, so thought will come later :P

EDIT: Not really any new info, but it's good to hear that emerging bands will get a shot with it. He mentioned theres gonna be a lot of announcements. I spose thats in relation to DLC once the game is out.

He's a funny guy too. Like the type that don't laugh at their own jokes, and thus make them funnier.

Is there an exact date the game comes out? Can us 360 players cross-play with PS3 users? And what system are you going to get this game on? Thanks for posting the video.

Your questions have been answered in other threads. In short, I don't think there is an exact date. No cross-play between systems (unless we're told otherwise in future). I'll be getting in on 360 but it all comes down to personal preference.

That is pretty sweet that they have Steven Van Zandt.

I listen to his show every sunday night at work. The guy is pretty cool. He does play alot of different music. A very unique show.

The coat, the headscarf, and the leopard-print wrist band must be available during character creation in Rock Band.

Lot of announcements?

Hmm, I'm hoping that's going to be more than just the DLC track announcement when the game comes out.

Nothing really new obviously, but it is nice to see what he said, and I look forward to more announcements in the future! He seems like a really cool guy, and I'm glad he is in charge of music advisory.
