Let me know if this type of thread has been done previously.

Pros(for Rock Band):
* Don't have to drive 30+ minutes to the practice space
* 4 hour "practices" are actually fun, and you aren't fartin' around while the bass player struggles to get his part right
* Blazing guitar solos are conveniently triggered from 5 wonderful buttons
* You don't humiliate yourself at those Pay-to-play places and beg your grandma to buy a ticket.

Con(against Rock Band):
* The chances for getting groupies is closer to NIL than ever before
* Can't write original music
* At the end of a three song set, smashing the guitar gets you more jeers from your band than cheers...if not to mention a big a**whoopin from the RB owner.

Can't tell the difference:
* Neighbors are still yelling at you after hours
* Significant other is threatening to leave because you'd rather be with 'the band'
* Ego is just the same...you think everybody else is a chump on the drums/guitar but your God's gift to rock and roll.
* The drummer still sweats/smells like a pig.

I'm sure there's TONs more but I'll stop here to leave to your creative feedback! (plus I put myself on semi-trolling restriction)

Pro:
You can play at a difficulty you like and still make great music with minimal skill.

Con:
You get intellectually bankrupt individuals telling you to "stop playing pretend instruments and learn a real one"

Pro: Can easily play your favorite songs without lots of time and money invested.

Con: Time could be spent learning a skill that can be used to convey emotion.
