View Full Version : Lost Fans Question

Tonight two different situations occurred where the game told my friends and I that we had lost fans.

1 - On the Hall of Fame setlist we failed several songs numerous times. I'm unsure as to the exact number of times we failed, but we began at least 15 songs on an 8 song setlist, if you take my meaning. After every song failure the game would say that we lost 24,000 fans.

Upon finally completing the set we received 48,000 fans. Our total fans had gone from approximately 406,000 to approximately 350,000. This seems to imply that you can only lose fans once per song, no matter how many times you fail the song.

2 - On the final song of a playlist (Timmy and the Lords of the Underworld) we failed many many times. The first several losses told us that we lost some large, but even number of fans. The final two losses told us that we'd lost a bizarre quantity of fans (approximately 10,138...seriously I think that was actually the exact number). Which is weird. When we admitted defeat and abandoned the gig, we had genuinely lost all the fans, dropping from about 315,000 to a paltry 65,000. Disheartening.

So my question is this: When you fail a set and lose X fans, if you retry and fail again, do you lose 2x fans, or just x? Having run some anecdotal evidence previously I was under the impression that you could only lose fans from a song once, no matter how many times you failed. However, my experience with the set with Timmy says otherwise. Is that only because we abandoned the gig instead of completing it?

I ran a search, but this is a weird question, and rather specific. Help would be appreciated. Sorry for the overlong first post.
