Here are eleven of the best suited songs to take advantage of all instruments in a fun and unique way. These songs should be at the top of HMX's list to include as DLC:
Allman Brothers Ramblin man
Cream White Room
Eddie Money Two Tickets to Paradise
Eric Clapton Layla
Heart Magic Man
Iron Maiden Hallowed be thy Name
Journey Wheel in the Sky, or Any way you want it, or Lights
Lenny Kravitz Are you Gonna go my Way
Stone Temple Pilots Dead and Bloated
Styx - Renegade
The Eagles Life in the Fast Lane
If you'll notice, each song is of varying difficulty, ranging from easy fun to great challenge. All songs lend themselves to karaoke, have fantastic and interesting guitar parts and have unique drum beats. Almost half of the bands have been in previous GH games, which should make it more likely that they will be able to be licensed by HMX. I believe this to be the cream of the crop as far as Rock Band songs are concerned.
One other song I would personally love to have again even though it was in GH'80s is Hold on Loosely by .38 special. It is a catchy song to sing, the guitar was great and the drums sound very fun.
Can you think of other great songs that combine all of the instruments so perfectly? Please share your thoughts! I would love to have a few more metal songs as well, as those tend to have more challenging guitar parts for experts.

I would like to replace your Iron Maiden song with
Iron Maiden - Dream of Mirrors that would be a GREAT song to play and to sing.

Haven't you posted this twice?
Anyway, I'd love Layla to be on there, I'm not bothered about the rest.

yeah, I posted a very similar thread in the other section, but it got moved here too. Whoops. Anyway, I'll be pretty bummed if none of these end up as dlc over the next year.

That would be 11 awesome songs.
I'm actually still puzzled why there wasn't any Cream in Rock Band to begin with.
White Room would be amazing and one of my fav. Cream songs.

Agreed, White Room rocks, best Cream choice I think.
Layla is a must have, and any Allman Bros are welcome.

How can we have journey without separate ways

That would bring me one step closer to my dream of doing a parody of this ridiculous video

LOL, I was going through all the Journey songs and I almost put this one, but thought the guitar was a little too repetitive for most of the song. Great song though, and even better video haha.

Elaborate.
When I listen to them they all sound very different and fun to play. Not all of them are overly difficult, but they all sound interesting and fun. What about them doesn't work for you?
