Welcome to Day 71, Band 11, of the Fantasy All-Star Rock Band Challenge!
Wrap-up on Band 10, which I shall call for brevity's sake "Unpronounceable," since it's spelled (no rly, i'm srs):

Tom as a vocalist, really? I dunno. I luh-HUV Waits as a writer, but I'm not too partial to his cigarette voice. I feel the same way about John Prine.
Still, he definitely deserves some respect, so I'll get behind this:

Tom Waits is a solo artist, slightly more famous as a songwriter than a singer. He's one of the premier singer-songwriters that emerged from the early 70s (along with Jim Croce, Harry Chapin, James Taylor, Harry Nilsson, Gordon Lightfoot and others), and he's still got a huge underground following.
I'd be surprised if you've ever heard him sing -- if you did, you'd know it -- but Youtube him for some samples. You might be more familiar with songs he wrote that were covered famously by others, like Springsteen's "Jersey Girl," or Glenn Frey singing "Ol' 55," and "Downtown Train," which was covered by Rod Stewart from a cover by Patti Smith.
If you want an idea of his distinctive voice, check out

YES! I'm so glad that "Unpronounceable" won. I love all your comments about the name too...Cracked me up.
Wow, heard Heart Attack and Vine...I wouldn't mind him as a songwriter for this band, but damn...it's like Joe Cocker and Paul Newman mixed with an old lady that's been smoking since she was 8 years old...

No, that statement was unrelated to my choice. I would pick a modern vocalist but they would have no chance of winning at this point.

I think we could build a really good **** (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kmRkAR7gkkw) Rock (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MjTj0jzA5qg)/Punk (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u7r2eWofyUY) band (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hdhonK8NMm8) around her.
If she wins, I'm thinking Ron Asheton or Joe Strummer for ******ist.
