View Full Version : Vocal Lag

I've noticed that a great way to break a combo when singing on expert is to sing at the exact same time and pitch as the in-game vocal track.

I've tried tons of different lag calibrations, and what I think is happening is that there is about a .1 to .15 second delay between when I actually sing the note and when the system reads it, causing the game to read the vocals slightly behind everything else, even when calibrated. The input delay does not exist with the other instruments-- I've got lag calibrated spot on for drums and guitars.

Any thoughts about this? (It's really frustrating when I've got a streak going and then I get into the song and forget I have to sing about a quarter beat earlier than the game says I do and I hit a "strong" to break my streak.)

You should head on over to the Tech Support forums, there's a very (overly) documented thread over there, explaining and trying to fix this.

But the answer is mostly that the "lag" you're getting is due to the processing that occurs with your TV/home theater setup. Bypass any digital processing and you'll be able to play the game the way it was meant.
