Honestly, this is rediculous. I am hearing that we won't see it on our shores until February, whats the cause of this huge delay?

Dont think you'll be getting it in febuary, Europe is right now heading for March and i dont think Australia is more important market to reach. Also the delay aint that if we were talking febuary.

Well we could be getting it as late as March, they've only said Q1 2008.
I live in Adelaide and have decided to import. Assume Gamestop now have enough new stock, I should be getting my copy in the next week.
EA wont help us out with replacement instruments though... so that's gonna suck.

Do you mind if I ask where you are importing it from? Looks like it's my only option.

The reason for the delay is apparently 'localization' but of course the fact that they are struggling to maintain standards and supplies for just the US suggests it more off a simple under supply issue. Quite frankly with all the issues that people are having I am quite happy to wait until the game is available locally.

After reading all the reports and the 360 was in the forefront with the PS
almost never mentioned.=(
Then came the guitar problems:confused:. I'm glad I dropped my preorder
and decided to wait it out.

FYI: Picked up an EBgames sales mag the other day, back page says they are now taking preorders for Rock Band 'to be released March 2008' (in Australia)

I bought a couple PS3 special edition bundles off Ebay. Paid good money for them, but hey, I wanna be able to 4-player Rock Band on Christmas day :-)

I'm happy to wear a delay for Rock Band, providing the instrument quality problems are fixed by the time it actually makes it to us. I was going to import it from Gamestop but with EA offering no support to anybody outside the US with broken instruments I'm not going to bother.

yeah, getting the refined instruments is about the only good thing to come of the bastard delay, maybe we might get different bundle options by launch too, it would be stupid if we have to wait till say, may for additional instruments, come on
maybe we could get a wireless 360 guitar package :D
not happening though lol

I ordered mine from Gamestop though the Barnes and Nobel website as GS wouldnt accept my credit card.
Ive complained to them that I havnt got it yet etc etc and theyre giving me free shipping. So its costing me $196 Australian total to import RB. I was looking at Ebay and it'd be at least $350 australian.

I'm currently looking to import the upcoming Ps2 bundle here to Australia to hold me over until the 360 release next year. Any suggestions? I can't seem to find it anywhere, especially somewhere that ships here. With the AU dollar so strong at the moment, RB is a steal! You'll save $100-$150 minimum.
