I'm not a Bears fan and Hate Jay Cutler but I have to defend this move.

O Line? Bears are getting Orlando Pace. WR? Bears are likely to get Torry Holt. Yeah sure they would matter 3 years ago but in the division that the Bears are in now they're basically made.

Aaron whatshisname has had a full year now to play with his team. Cutler will have to spend a year adjusting to Chicago. Chicago is a run-first team and should continue to be for next year. If they immediately try to switch to a passing team for next year, don't expect them to make the playoffs, or even break .500

The fact that the Bears are a run first team means nothing. Do you even remember where Cutler was? He played for Shanahan. You know that guy who turned nobodies into 1000 yrd Running backs? Cutler has all summer and fall to get used to the playbook. The fact that Cutler won't have to throw 50(like last year) a game should be a good thing.

Did you just snicker at the Pack? Not that I mind people not taking them seriously, but they're going to be better than Chicago this year if they get even one good defensive player in the draft, and knowing TT's draft record, it seems likely. Green Bay was much better than the 6-10 record suggested last year.

I've always hated Jay Cutler, I guess I have even more reason to now.

Neither team will amount to anything. Denver is rebuilding and the vaunted Bears defense is aging. Also, Cutler has no weapons besides Hester.

This is really a good move for the Bears and I think Cutler could fit well with their style and add a threat at quarterback. Unfortunately, if they don't flesh out other parts of their offense (namely WR and O-line) this will not help enough to make them real contenders in the league as a whole. In the NFC North, however, it puts them as the favorites in my book.

Hester isn't even that great of a receiver...he's just really good at returning punts and kickoffs, so he's generally overrated at the WR spot...I always think of him as Chicago's Ted Ginn Jr

lol, now, we're gonna be talking about the 2009 Chicago Bears!

we just acquired the biggest QB we've gotten since Sid Luckman!

and just minutes later, we picked up Orlando Pace!

now, we can land Maclin in the draft, hope we can have another receiver pick it up, and we'll have a solid offense for the first time since the 40s

Best trade ever for Denver. Mainly since I hate the Broncos (and live there) and LOVE to see them lose. Shanahan was always a pompous ******* and the local media always gave the team too much credit. Cutler sucks and Orton sucks more. I can't wait to start seeing the INTs fly.

draft picks are really hit and miss though, you have to pay a ton of money to a man who has never played in a pro game before, so, basically they sold two huge contracts to the Broncos for untested players who could be huge busts (or giant game-changers)

People who say Cutler does not help the bears are just mad Cutler didn't make their team. I'm not even a Bears fan(Go Falcons) but the Bears weak point has always been at the QB position. So why is it that when they get a decent one everyone says "OMG Bad move Yoo So Stupid". I just don't understand at all.

And if it's because of the 1st round picks I think thats the best part about it. Anyone who knows anything about the Bears know that they suck at 1st round picks. So why is it such a big deal that they give up 2? The Bears are in the process of getting Torry Holt. After that they can look for defensive upgrades which will be easy because they are bunches under the cap.

To reply to Cutler being on a pas 1st team last year. It's easier for a QB to go from pass 1st to run 1st then run 1st to pass 1st. Less work for Cutler is a good thing. No one wants him to throw 50 per game like last year.

I'm so glad he didn't come to Detroit. Cutler is a diva. He may have an arm, but he isn't a leader. When the Bears O-Line gives up 50 sacks and Cutler blows his mouth off, watch the team implode.

Also, I'll take MN in the NFC north. Best D in the division, best runner in the league, mediocre QB.... but MN controls the line, so that equals playoffs...

and, as always, go COLTS!!!!

Broncos change, two SBs in a row.

TB changes unis, they stop sucking and win a SB.

He is a very good kick returner, nothing more. He is a running back in a corner's body, and he would suffer multiple injuries if he tried RB, so he's pretty much stuck with WR as his position. Problem is, he runs poor routes and has a case of the dropsies thanks to his stone hands. All he can do is run, run, run and pick the right hole.

He just can't really contribute to the offense. Same problem Ted Ginn Jr has in Miami
