28 days return time

I did the express replacement to get a new guitar when mine stopped working. It said I have 28 days to return the old guitar before my credit card gets charged. Now, I'm curious, do those 28 days start counting down the day I submitted my request for a new one, or the day my guitar is shipped/delivered? I've waited almost 2 weeks now, still no guitar, and if it goes much longer, I don't want to have to ship it late and then still get charged. Also, if I am late with returning the guitar and get charged, will they refund the charge once they recieve the old guitar? Or is it a, "ship it within 28 days or pay for the new one" kind of thing? Any answers would be awesome. Thanks.

I remember reading that you have 28 days from the day you receive your new one, for them to receive your old one. I assume they start counting the day they ship it out, or 2 days after that (since they know they're using 2-day mail).

just make sure you note the tracking number of the package you receive. it will serve as proof of the date and i would think your 28 days begins then.
