How To Quiet Drums

I have tried many things to quiet the beating of the drums. My roommate doesn't like it when I sit there and beat on the drums for an hour while he tries to study. I was wondering if anyone thought of any good ideas to quiet them.

it wont completely mute the banging, but those who have done it were satisfied with the decrease in noise.

use mouse pads instead of foam for padding. even less noise and provides great bounce.

Staples has circular mouse pads for under $4
