Besides the hypothetical reunions of Pavement and Neutral Milk Hotel (which already make this worth traveling to the other side of the world for), I would give up my limbs and possibly organs to go to this fantasy festival.

There are a few bands I wouldn't mind seeing (SSU, R.E.M, Sonic Youth, The Cure). I probably would not go, because I don't want to sit through the rest of it:p

the 1st and 4th day are mostly good, and the 2nd and 3rd days have a few gems.
however, i don't like fests and really don't have the cash to see bands that big anymore.

Overall, I'd give it a 3.5 out of 5. The first day is solid with no duds at all and awesome bands like MBV, SSPU, Sonic Youth, Pixies, Bowie, and the Stone Roses, although I would choose MBV over the Police to headline. The second day is worse. It has only two bands I like (the Decemberists and Spoon) and quite a few bands I can't stand (Death Cab For Cutie, the Strokes, Snow Patrol, Oasis). The third day is marginally better than the first day if only for Pavement, the Flaming Lips, and MGMT. However, RATM as the headliners doesn't make me happy at all; I saw them at Lollapalooza and instantly wished I saw Wilco instead. The last day is very hit and miss for me. It has Beck (!!!), Wilco, Neutral Milk Hotel, Interpol, and the New Pornographers. On the other hand, it has Bloc Party and Arcade Fire, two bands I don't really like.
I would go to this festival, but to be honest I'd only be there for the whole day on the first and fourth days. The second and third days I'd only show up for select bands and then leave once their set was done.

They weren't necessarily bad, it's just that I don't particularly like their music and I'm sure I would've enjoyed Wilco much more.

It's really uneven and although I like a lot of the bands, I also hate a lot of the bands (The Cure in particular.) I also don't understand why Rage Against the Machine is headlining and not The Flaming Lips. They give a way better show than Rage ever could. Night 1 and 4 seem to be the best line ups. I'd go, but there would be some down time.

I would have to agree with this. They would have no live show if it weren't for the "OMGBREAKSTUFF" vibe. The Flaming Lips would be a much better choice IMO.

I know and like probably 50% of the bands, know OF and am interested in probably another 15%, know and don't like 10%. Then the rest I either don't know, or know the name and have never heard a single song.
So, absolutely.
