Today's Patch?

If it's 360...there was an update for the dashboard/firmware today, could that be what you're seeing or is there a game update as well? I'm at work so I don't know.

No game update, just the dashboard software.

They changed the layout of the 360 dashboard, and added a "family timer" that would limit the amount of time you could play. Good if you have kids that don't do their homework.

this is what I've been waiting for for...forever lol. No more having to convert all of my Xvid vids to WMV (and don't even talk to me about using Media Center as I've tried 90000 ways to Sunday and still only WMV's would work heh)

don't know if it affects you but a lot of older divx files(especially Div3) do not work. h264 got enhaced support but x264 does not work still nor do .mkvs

I thought I read you could finally remove game demos from your gamercard, but I can't seem to find that feature. :(

Actually there was the dash update today and there was a patch for Rock Band as well... Anyone know what the patch did?

I thought that would be an automatic feature, if it's not removing old demos then it must only apply to ones played after the patch, and someone forgot to make it backwards compatible.

I played Rock Band on Xbox360 this morning and had no game update. Just the Dashboard update for Xbox360.

This is actually a usual occurrence with the 360. Sometimes updates are re-applied for no specific reason other than a bug in the dashboard and/or system. I've had this happen to me so many times on any number of games that I just ignore all game updates unless I know for a fact one was released.

If EA/Harmonix/MTV aren't talking about an update then you got the bug, plain and simple.

Yeah, mine's the same way, I've demoed just about everything. What's even worse are freebie promotional games that give achievement points. I don't really need anyone knowing that I actually got bored enough to play Yaris long enough to get 5 points for something or other, but I'm stuck with it forever.

Me either but shortly after getting it I started playing those on a different account.

The update also made it so Silver memebers are yet again screwed over and have to wait a week for the "free" stuff again,assuming we get it at all wich is absolutly idiotic especially when it comes to demos.

all this update did for me was make me unable to reach the market place.
