Drum Bass Pedal Has a Short

It seems like there is a short in the bass pedal where it connects to the actual drumset. Is there any alternative ways to plug in the bass pedal besides to the drums?

No.

What's the nature of the short? There have been some complaints that the plug doesn't seat in the jack properly and requires some reinforcement (like wrapping a rubber band around it to provide tension).

You might also try stretching out the bass pedal cord a bit and see if the reduced pull helps it seat properly.

ugh i think it's messed.. i need a new one I guess cause now it won't work no matter what.. the casing(weak) has come off..*sighs*
