View Full Version : Fantasy All-Star Rock Band, Day 75: Pick A 5TH INSTRUMENT! (???)

Welcome to Day 75, Band 11, of the Fantasy All-Star Rock Band Challenge!

Congrats to...um....JOAN JETT, who becomes the band's....uh....Bassist?

I'm not gonna argue with Joan. Would you? She'd kick your ass six ways from Sunday if you did. :(

Now it's time to expand our horizons a little. Normally, this is the part of the show where we'd pick a Keyboardist, or maybe a Rhythm Git. (heh.) But per Wings' excellent suggestion, I'm leaving this slot wide open for ANY "fifth instrument." You pick --- keyboard? Rhythm guitar? Sax? Accordion? Whatever you want, whoever....within the usual 1950s+ rock genre.

Just write the name of the artist you choose (subject to restrictions off the Retiree list below, as usual), AS WELL AS the instrument(s) he/she plays.

Day 1: Vocalist: Tom Waits
Day 2: Guitarist: Stevie Ray Vaughan
Day 3: Drummer: Mitch Mitchell (Jimi Hendrix Experience)
Day 4: Bassist: Joan Jett
Day 5: Fifth Instrument (any):
Day 6: Songwriter:
Day 7: NAME THIS BAND

I changed my vote to Roi after realizing a harmonica player was a dumb idea, but I think Fizz copied and pasted my vote before I saved the change. Can I keep it?

I never expected her to win, I was just voting for her as a goof and she ended up winning. If you want, you could pull her out and replace her with the runner-up, since I don't want her to be out of the running for next week.

Also, I'm changing Joan Jett (the Joan Jett) to Joan Jett (alternate lead vocals).

You know, like the New Pornographers have Neko Case and that other guy trade off lead vocal duties on different songs. I think it could work for this band.

I could see Waits and Jett in a duet also, for the name how about Tom Waits and the Stevie Dylan Jett Experience or 2 Old guys, 2 dead guys, and Joan Jett ;)
