Tony Hawk's American Wasteland.
I really loved Classic Mode in that game... playing some of the original levels felt great.

I had a lot of fun playing it, but it was a crappy game. It was still a blast though.

That game definitely brings back memories. It was like Mario Kart meets snowboarding to me. I never owned it, but my cousins did and I would play it whenever I went to their house.
As for this thread? Any Tim Schafer game:
The Secret Of Monkey Island (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fd5fH0TAgjI)
Day Of The Tentacle (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yhfOyptt9pQ)

Yoshi's Story. So underrated. I had SO MUCH BLOODY FUN WITH THAT GAME.
Also, a game I liked in the past, grew up, played it, and realized how bad it was: Tonic Trouble.

Fire Emblem. It's a great game that few have heard of, and many of those who have are stupid enough to think it ripped off of Final Fantasy Tactics when in fact Fire Emblem predates every SRPG except for (I believe) Advanced Wars, which is by the same bloody company.

That game was the poop!!! Man, I miss old school FPS on PC. Heretic & Hexen were awesome too.

I can say with absolute certainty that Halo 3 is the most overly underrated game because people think it makes them cool to call it bad.

I don't think it sucks, but unfortunately i think its good for maybe one run through on each difficulty and that is it. I enjoyed the game...but honestly wish i would have rented rather then buy cause since i beat it that way it has just gathered dust. And the online community for that game is so immature that they make WoW players look grown up

This is why I always play games myself before making up my mind about them. So many of my friends (and people on random internet message boards) said that Halo 3 sucks. I played it, loved it, and bought it. I don't regret that purchase at all. The game has brought me hundreds of hours of entertainment. I can see how hardcore PC FPS gamers would dislike it, but that's no reason to say it's a bad game.

Mario, Zelda, Final Fantasy VII, Chrono Trigger, etc. :D
But seriously, I think Steambot Chronicles on the PS2 and CustomRobo on the gamecube were underrated. Steambot was a great RPG, and CustomRobo had a great combat system that would be fun online.

PSI-OPS?: THE MINDGATE CONSPIRACY
WHY DID NO ONE BUY THIS GAME!
I mean, you're a fricking psi-agent, slamming people into walls and lighting them on fire WITH YOUR MIND! WHO DISLIKES THAT?

Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem
One of the best games on the Gamecube. The writing and characters for that game is among the best I've seen. Also, the game likes to mess with you and the characters. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KFYlu_ZBo5U
Goldeneye: Rouge Agent
It's decent, but I have fun with it anyway. The player takes the role of an ex-MI6 agent who is recruited by Auric Goldfinger to assassinate Dr. No. And you get to blow up Hoover Dam. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IKkQE0bmre0
XGRA
A futuristic motorcycle racing game. Features 14 tracks ranging from the devastated amazon to an asteroid orbiting Saturn. It features two soundtracks: rock and dance. Another neat feature is that the bikes can break the sound barrier and the sound mutes when you do so. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g28gjX7HnB4

Fire Emblem Series (Big in Japan, not so much here)
Tales series (Same thing)
Edit : Dark Cloud and Dark Cloud 2 (OMG I loved those games :D)
Back when I first played it, I accidentally held Dark Cloud 2 up to I owed them 100$ or 60$ for the game (restocking fee or late fee)

Planescape: Torment - an AMAZING black Isle RPG. Similar in feel to Baldur's Gate series but infinitely better IMO. You had to read and think a little, but it was epic. Oddly very few people i know have played this game, even friends of mine that loved the Baldur's Gate lineup. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Planescape_Torment
Sanitarium - had amazing atmosphere and a very creepy feel. the storyline was decent as well. The only negative was the lead actor's voicework. it is kind of annoying. but once you get used to it, it is easily overlooked. The rest of the voice acting is good. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sanitarium_(videogame)

To those who mentioned Fire Emblem: Thank you. It is so hard to get people to believe that it is a good game until they actually play it. I had to convince one of my friends kicking and screaming to play it and he enjoys it now.

One of my favorite all time games, which is also underrated is "Ico" for the PS2. Most people know nothing about it. Those that know it now didn't until "Shadow of the Colossus" came out.
