My friend purchased RB2 for PS3 yesterday and we're having some issues.
1) The drum kit will not power on immediately. After switching it on it may take several times before actually displaying lights.
2) The drum kit will connect with a solid light on the dongle. The lights will stay lit, until a drum pad is hit, where the kit immediately disconnects and the flashing light on the dongle returns.
SIDE PROBLEM:
When leaving the dongle in for our 2nd guitar, the PS3 likes to freeze, not boot, etc.
Please if anyone can help.

1) Not sure if it's a switch problem or related to below.
2) You might have an issue with battery jarring. Basically the batteries can move around, when the pads are struck and disconnect. Try putting a piece of cardboard between the batteries and cover to see if that helps.

Ken,
I made sure the batteries weren't loose doesn't seem to be the issue. I went and turned it on and it powered on fine at first (4 solid lights), but as soon as I plugged in the dongle they went out. Now they refuse to power back on with out of the package batteries.

Just noticed your friend bought the game not too long ago. Did the game update to the latest version when launched?
