D-Pad on Drum Kit Rattles

The d-pad on my drum kit rattles. I put the "mouse pad muffle mod" on my kit, so the noise stands out now. When I hit either of the middle drums (yellow and blue) it rattles since those two are connected to it. I held just the d-pad while hitting a drum to verify, and it is the d-pad.

Anybody else see this? I might just jam a folded up piece of paper in the edge...

mine does the same thing but only after being on for more than 3 hours, then it just hits by itself, and when I hit it it takes a second for it to register, then I turn it off for a couple of hours and it works fine again. hopefully my new one will be here soon.
