if you sell your wii and RB2, can the person you sell it to, redownload the DLC i already bought? I erased the memory card and all the records off of the wii memory. WOuld the new owner be able to get the songs i had purchased inthe DLC list?
Im movin to xbox

They can. :>
They just redownload them 'cause the licenses are tied to your Wii already~
And yeah, Hex. I'm curious as well.

Let me know when you make the switch & I will add you to my friends list!
You could always test the idea of re-downloading the tracks by popping in a card & giving it a try ... I am pretty darn sure it will work.

im switching primarily because of DLC. im a bit impateient for the songs i want.
and because of the ability to talk to peole, and heaer them sing etc. and i heard a rimuor thatthe beatles edition may be delayed for WII and that xbox members might get some pre release extras that wont be avaiable for wii right away.
and some people i play with and relaly enjoy playng with have an xbox now. lol

I made the switch because of the DLC and storage issues ... now I am stuck on the graphics & ability to chat during gameplay.
(It is pretty fun to have the RB1 songs to play in the game as well.)
I don't think people can hear me sing but I could be wrong ... that could get embarrassing for me because Rob the Pres. is uhh... well not my best song ha ha!

I don't. ;)
You have to push a button on the xbox controller to chat. Otherwise, it blots you out completely. x3

I didn't know if you could or not because I have that microphone that allows me to chat & I hear everyone through my TV speakers ... kind of like your RB character is talking to me ... spooky ha ha!
ryanco64

Yes, you can hear me, but trust me. We couldn't hear you until you push that button. :D
So you can hear what we say and say something when you want it, but keep your singing voice a secret. ;)

If you are going for the xbox I would recommend getting the:
elite (seems smarter to drop the xtra money now then regret it later if you end up wanting more space)
An extra controller
The wireless adapter (If you can't plug straight into your internet)
The xbox live gold communication pack (has an extra headset so your wife can chat too & a text pad that makes it easier to enter info)
The controller microphone is kind of a wash unless you have someone who sings a lot ... I was doing just fine without it but couldn't get my headset to work properly so I picked up the controller mic to kill two birds with one stone.

The middle version retails for $299.99, which contains a 60GB hard drive. Although I must say, I have the elite one with 120GB, and I've already used 20 just for RB2, haha. So getting the elite for $399.99 with a bigger hard drive is freakking sweet. (Although I bought mine for $50, score!)
For RB2, you can buy the whole bundle, but the game works with GH guitars starting from the Xplorer. Any drumset can work, 'cause it's the Xbox. :D
As for live, Silver means you get online but to download content only, no online play. You have to get the gold subscription for that, which is $60 a year, or $5 a month; not so bad.
The Wireless Adaptor retails for about $100 new; get it if you can't connect via ethernet cable. I bought a really long cable, hehe.
That being said, we wait for more people to convert to Jenova's Witn-....
Did I mention HDMI cables rock on an HDTV?

well im looking forward to using my xbox ( getting it tonight woot! im gonna getthe elite.
to using it for netflix streaming as well. so im tryng to figure out if i should getthe littl keyboard thing or the media remote control . somany addons i have to buy the rb2 set and the cymbals addon, my wife is drooling for them.
i actually picked up rb1 last night at walmart for under 10 bucks, which is cheaper than downloading the songs anyway. lol.
im thing im only going to need one headset for now and one controller plus the system,rb2 pack and im gonna go wired fro now its only about 10 feet from m modem anyway. ill go wireless later. im fighting with myself over spending the 60 bucks to getthe best buy geeksquad warranty for 2 years. since ive heard about the ole red ring of death etc. althoug ive also been told it doesent happen to the new elites, any thoughts?

Get the warranty ... I would get the keyboard over the remote any day ... and keeping that xbox wired in can only make it faster.
I use netflix on mine and unless you are getting the universal xbox remote (almost $100) really everything you will need to do can be done with your controller

I love Netflix on demand!
I get it on my Tivo. It's been so good for us we actually cancelled our cable subscription back in January - apart from watching movies & shows on Netflix and playing RB2, there's no more time for old-fashioned cable TV.
I have to admit... that is a good selling point...

Netflix was the thing that sealed the deal here too ... simply because I spend a lot of time squinting at my tiny computer screen to read subtitled netflix movies
Even with the xbox we are keeping our wii & RB wii version just because I think the RB wii community has quite a bit to offer to the gameplay experience ... the wii may lack in storage/graphics (for now) but the community that HMX has made for us here has more than made up for those differences.
(It just feels like a tighter knit community here on the wii board.)
... and well, mario cart just plain rocks!
So, Xbox or Wii - I'm ready to rock!
