Rock band Blue drum pad has died

Hi everyone.
I was playing Rock Band on the PS2 last night and out of no where my blue drum pad just stopped working. After much beating and bashing on it to make sure that it had in fact died. I took the top of the pad off and checked the censor, the wires are still connected. I ran out of warranty last month. Any one have any fixes for this? I didn't read through all of the earlier post. If i happened to miss a thread about this, sorry for the double post.

The EXACT same thing happened to me and I'm a week out of warranty.
