RB1 & DLC problem on RB2?

I have Rock Band 1 & 2.

I purchased the license months ago and exported content from 1 to 2.

I have also purchased DLC.

Today I fired up RB2 then started Solo Quickplay only to discover that all the RB1 songs have disappeared and DLC cannot be loaded. It's visible in the song selection, but will not load.

Vital information: on 04/07/09 I swapped out hard disk drives on my PS3 to install a compatible version of Linux. While the HDD with all the save data was out it was never attached to anything else and kept in a safe environment.

My bands are still available.

Any ideas? I can re-download any DLC as well as re export RB1 songs, but that is completely undesirable.

Someone a week or so ago had a similar issue with their dlc. They went to manage accounts and deactivate the psn id, then reactivated. dlc came back.

Might work for you.

I guess the DRM wanted to believe the other HDD was registered.

It's a shame such an otherwise wonderful game is knee-deep in draconian lockdown that only hurts the innocent people.

That theme is not specific to rockband, it's everywhere :(
