I total agree with what you are saying. With Axl and Slash both vocals and guitar, along with the drums, will be fun to play on almost every song.

I’m a big fan and would love to have every song released by GNR in the game. If I could only pick 3 songs for a pack I think I would go with “You Could Be Mine”, “Paradise City” and probably “Nighttrain”.

For an album I would have to go with Appetite. Don’t get me wrong I love everyone of their albums (even the spaghetti incident), but Appetite is a well known album witch has the band three big radio hits along with many others that most people know. The Greatest Hits is a great album as well but 5 of the 14 songs are covers and I’m one of those people who would rather have a bands original work. I’m just hoping that we see some Guns in the not too distant future.

I do believe GnR is exclusively with the other game, Vivendi owns the label that owns them. Slash signed on with them as well.

hey i just wanna make sure guys.. but since slash probally signed a contract with guitar hero you think this is the reason why welcome to the jungle was not avaliable at launch? they has to be some legal reason why the song wasn't on the disc

There was a license issue with Welcome to the Jungle according to HMX, but it was also stated that the issue has be resolved and that it should not happen again. So, I'm guessing that GH3 is probably having the exclusive for this song for some months and Rock Band should be releasing it right after that.

dont be so worried about welcome to the jungle not that its a bad song but they have other good songs to like sweet child o mine, live and let die, and paradise city and when welcome to the jungle can be used for RB they can just release it as a single or something

I want GNR and Velvet Revolver songs so bad!! But I don't really think Slash has much say over GNR stuff since Axl owns the name. I could be wrong though. I bought myself Rock Band and hoping I will get GH3 for Christmas. The more Slash the merrier.:D

For the 1 millionth time, Slash does not own any rights to the name, songs, or distribution of Guns N' Roses. W. Axl Rose does. It's up to him/HMX to be included in RB, just like it was his decision to put WTTJ in GH3 and SCOM in GH2.

Kind of what Axlitis said. Axl doesn't own the full rights to the songs of GnR since he was not the one that created 90% of them. They were collaborations from Axl, Slash, and Izzy. That's why VR is able to perform GnR songs and whatnot.

Actually Axl owns FULL rights to ALL GnR songs. That's from when he started getting a bug up his ass about performing with the group and demanded all rights to the band's name and music. The Greatest Hits album that came out awhile ago? Slash didn't see any of that. Only person that's still getting a taste is Izzy, cuz him and Axl are still friends. Don't get me wrong, I love the old GnR WAY more than the new stuff, but as far as them making it into RB, it's up to Axl and Harmonix.

Edit: As far as Velvet Revolver playing GnR songs, I've never heard of that. They have their own music anyway, which I think is pretty good stuff. Go pick up Libertad, their latest and check it out.

Probably the same logic they use for exclusivity deals (as rare as they are now) for games on a single console.

Now the video that was posted, I noticed it said "As Made Famous By." Could it be that HMX/EA/MTV are trying to get the master tracks? Seems likely.

EDIT: At least that's my idea behind the delay.

Anyways, most things Gn'R would be flippin' sweet. :D :D
