I like this one- not nearly as show-off-y, just pure finesse.

Love both of those goals! Gorgeous.

Of course, being a goalie, I can't help but remark at how frickin' cheap they are. ;)

The Ribeiro one was wicked...

The one by the Swede against Switzerland is pretty cool, too, but... that's a friendly exhibition game... against Switzerland.

As far as hockey shootout goals go, I think Forsberg's gold medal winner v. Canada at the '94 Winter Olympics is still tops, just because of the situation and its importance (plus this kind of creativity 15 years ago was far more rare than it is today, since the NHL didn't even have shootouts):

I thought this was the sexiest scene in hockey (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lbw1rxfVelw&feature=related).

Haha I'm a goalie too. I had an assistant coach on my varsity who plays in the minors and he scored an awesome goal on me in practice. He flipped the puck up from behind the net and then skated around to the front and knocked it in. It was high-sticking so it wouldn't have counted but I was shocked as to what just happened

It was painful to watch the Avs lose on that goal last night.

Who needs shoot-outs?

True, who really needs shootouts?

Game 6 last year in the Sharks vs Stars series was the best game I have ever gone to. If you need a reminder as to what happened, heres the vid.

Yes, thats in the 4th OT and that goal was scored at 130 in the morning, and I had school next day. I still get excited when I see that goal

He's actually not like he was in Montreal. He has become a different player since coming down to Dallas. We all love him here

Really?

That's good. I think you and I might have talked about this before? I didn't like that dive to get a penalty and then laugh at the other team deal he did in Montreal. Always thought he had skills though.

Good for Ribs if he's turned it around.

Yea he is really a team player now. You pretty have to be a team player to play on the Stars (see Avery). And he has led are team in points the last 3 season I believe. Its a shame that we had so many injuries this year b/c we would have been really good. Next year we will be good with everyone healthy. We will have tons of goal scores (Eriksson, Morrow, Neal, Ribs, Richards, Modano, Brunnstrum)
